FAQ

Q. I am trying to reset my password but have not received a response

A. Please email us at safe@eittoc.com for password reset assistance

Q. What is the difference between paying for "CEU=Contact Hours" or "EI Continuing Education Hrs.?"

A. CEU (or, continuing education units) are often called Contact Hours and refer to those courses - required by your professional licensing board annually in order to maintain your licensure; your certificate will indicate this as proof that you have met your specific state licensure board requirements for continuing education. EI Continuing Education Hrs. refers to educational credentialing credit required annually by many State early intervention programs.

Q. If you purchase a course for CEU=Contact Hours, does that mean it also meets the criteria required by many States for EI Continuing Education Hrs.?

A. Yes, if you purchase a course for CEUs, the certificate is also good for your EI continuing education hours. You do not need to purchase the course for both CEUs and EI hours

Q. If you purchase a course for EI Continuing Education Hrs.?, does that mean it also meets the criteria required by State Board of Licensing for continuing CEU=Contact Hrs - Licensure?

A. No it does not.

Q. How are the number of questions per examination computed?

A. The number of test question(s) & assigned credit is calculated based on the content length, level of difficulty of material –both of which are assessed by peer review & pilot study; this is reflected by the number of test question in each course test: Ten (10) multiple choice question for the first credit hour, with no more than 10% true/false questions. For each additional credit hour assigned (after the first credit hour), five (5)multiple choice test questions are assigned – at a minimum.

Q. What is the passing grade?

A. 80%. EITTOC-SAFE utilizes the American traditional numeric grade system, so that a grade of 80% in the variant number grade system converted to a letter grade is in the B grade-grouping, with 80% corresponding to a B- the lowest acceptable grade for passing, given the necessity for a high standard of knowledge retention with respect to the early intervention setting.
